STEP 12 - THE BUSINESS MAN

Are you the board room man? A top executive? Middle manager? New employee? Entrepreneur?

 

In any of these roles, one thing remains constant: you WILL have days where you feel STRESSED, tired, or generally have a hard time maintaining balance.

 

One of the easiest ways to use Essential Oils for stress relief is to DIFFUSE them. Try a USB diffuser, a car diffuser for the commute, or a desk-sized diffuser; but even opening a bottle of your favorite oil and inhaling will give you the aromatic benefits of said oil.

 

You may find that one works better for you than another, or that you enjoy the scent of certain oils more. EXPERIMENT with oils, and find what’s most beneficial for you. Here are some oils and blends to get you started:

 

• Tension Blend – Helps provide grounding and balanced emotions, ease stressful feelings, and promote feelings of relaxation and calm emotions; features Wintergreen, Lavender, Peppermint, Frankincense, Cilantro, Marjoram, Roman Chamomile, Basil, and Rosemary.

 

• Joyful Blend – Diffuse to promote feelings of self-worth while also reducing stress feelings, or to create a positive and energized mood; rub over your heart, temples, or wrists to elevate mood and promote vitality; at the end of a long, stressful day, take a bath with a few drops to help lessen feelings of stress after a tough meeting, or a bad sales report.

 

• RESTFUL Blend – Diffuse to help promote relaxation and decrease stress, and to help reduce anxious feelings throughout the day; combines Lavender, Marjoram, Roman Chamomile, and Ylang Ylang with Hawaiian Sandalwood and Vanilla Bean (also great for promoting restful sleep). Sleeping through the night has been researched over and over and the results are almost always the same: getting enough sleep is critical and most people are lacking. After a tough day at the office, Essential Oils can be used topically, aromatically, and internally to promote a good night of zzz’s.

 

• Lavender – Taken internally, Lavender reduces anxious feeling and promotes peaceful sleep.*

 

• Roman Chamomile – Has a calming effect on the skin, mind, and body,* soothes the systems of the body;* diffuse or apply to bottom of feet at bedtime.

 

• Vetiver – Rub on feet before bedtime to promote restful sleep; has a calming, grounding effect on emotions. Use a toothpick to get the desired amount out of container if it’s too thick to get out of the bottle. A little goes a long way.

 

When the pressures of business life are mounting, in those times where finding balance within yourself seems difficult, you can also use Vetiver or the following oils:

 

• Grounding Blend – Promotes tranquility while bringing harmony to mind and body, and balance to the emotions; promotes a whole body sense of relaxation, evokes feelings of balance; begin your day by applying to the bottom of your feet to promote feelings of calmness and tranquility throughout the day.

 

• Sandalwood – Has a sweet, woody aroma that can enhance mood and is frequently used in meditation for its grounding effects. Inhale Sandalwood directly from palms or diffuse to lessen tension and balance emotions.

 

• Now let’s learn more about the REASSURING BLEND, a blend of floral and mint Essential Oils. Slow down, take a deep breath, and reconnect with the composed, collected you. Includes Vetiver, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Frankincense, Clary Sage, Marjoram, Labdanum, and Spearmint.

USES

• Diffuse at night to promote a calming environment and restful sleep.

• When experiencing anxious feelings, apply one drop to hands, rub together, and inhale deeply.
